Overcoming MS, Parkinson's, Stroke, Diabetes, Heart Disease – much more!
Vision: A world where everyone has an opportunity to heal and live a healthy, fulfilling life.
Crippled becomes whole,
Crooked becomes straight,
Weak becomes strong,
Old becomes new,
Rough places become paths for the feet.
The Bible and The Tao Te Ching, trans. By Addiss and Lombardo (adapted)
Mission: To spread the healing benefits of New Creation Tai Chi-Qigong to those who need them. This includes but is not limited to: seniors, those with disabilities and chronic illness, the elderly, and those recovering from injury, disease and trauma.
Team Participants: The NCTQ Team consists of individuals coming together to develop proficiency in basic Tai Chi-Qigong movements and principles in order to improve their own personal health and teach the skills to others.
The NCTQ Training program is open to all who want to learn and teach. NCTQ welcomes seniors and those who have disabilities, believing that their unique experience, insights and skills will enable them to share meaningfully with those who have similar needs.
NCTQ Training intends to empower trainees to make a difference in their own and other people’s lives and to become active agents of hope, healing, encouragement and inspiration.
Web Training: Those who purchase the DVD are welcome to become members of the Rising UP! website and enter into the conversation. Contact Anna York for more information: anna@annayork.com
Team Concept: The NCTQ Training Program is built around a team concept that considers the changing physical, medical and personal needs of the seniors and people with various abilities who will be at the core of the program. All have changing physical needs, medical appointments and personal commitments. While all are expected to commit to the program and do their best, the team concept offers flexibility so that the program can function realistically in people’s lives. A “team” will be large enough (6 or 7 people) so that members can schedule community assignments according to team-member needs.
Community Assignments and Projects would be expected to be 45-minute sessions that could be fulfilled by three members of a team. If an emergency arises for one individual, other team members will have the skills to “cover” and substitute in order to carry on the work.
Training will consist of earning a series of badges, each of which qualifies the trainee to teach certain Tai Chi-Qigong movements, skills and principles.
Those who want to earn the Team Member Badge will be expected to meet the following requirements. The Basic Team Member badge is required in order to do outside community assignments.
Upon completion of Basic Team requirements, team members will have two Creation Day Badges, one for “Beginnings” and one for “Heaven.” (In addition to the other requirements)
Team members may earn additional badges for each of the other DVD Creation Days, with similar requirements for proficiencies, web sharing, etc. Other badges include:
Team leaders will be appointed by the Training Director, based on the following criteria:
Each Team Leader will do some/not all of the following:
