Our next stop after the Taj was Fatehpur-Sikri, built by Emperor Akbar in honor of the holy man who prophesied he would have a son after years of barrenness. He moved his capital here, but had to abandon it when there was not enough water. Now it is an incredibly beautiful "ghost city." I did a combination of walking and riding in a wheelchair, which was available at the entrance.
